What is RAF Trade Training Like ?

For Groundtrades Non Commissioned Airmen and Women

Trade training at RAF Cosford (situated near Wolverhampton, West Midlands) is carried out at a slightly more relaxed pace from Recruit Training Squadron You will still be expected to march around in groups. But after studying in the daytime your evenings are pretty much your own. Except for Homework which you will be expected to do.

You will still have daily inspections but this is normally just a morning parade outside before marching off to the training areas.

You will be expected to pass various tests and practical exams throughout the length of your training. If you continually fail you can get CT'd ( Cease Training) and maybe considered for remustering in another trade. But this is not a guarantee and you could easily end up back on civvy street.
